'Convenience Store Boy Friends' Episode 10 Spoilers: Haruki–Miharu Story to See Some Progress in the New Year?
At a time when couples get together to celebrate the warmth of their love amidst the snow, Towa Honda and Mami Mihashi have finally made up and gave their relationship another chance. Whose love story will bloom as a brand new year starts on the next episode of the Japanese anime series, "Convenience Store Boy Friends"?
This week's episode ushered in the winter break season at Aokisora High School, and along with it came Christmas Eve, which is considered to be a couple's holiday in Japan.
After realizing that their friends were not on speaking terms, Miharu Mashiki and Haruki Mishima planned a special Christmas get-together for the four of them so as to give Towa and Mami a chance to talk.
But Towa's mother has already made plans for them and his stepfather to go out for a special dinner as a family, and thus give Towa and the older guy a chance to talk and settle their differences.
Towa never made it to the get-together, but a text message from Mami, saying that she missed him and that she wanted to see him, sent the guy rushing through the snow. He managed to catch up with Mami at the bus stop, and the two of them had what might have been their first conversation as a mature couple.
The preview for the next episode titled "January" hints at some significant developments in Haruki and Miharu's love story. How are things going to change now that Haruki knows that Miharu has not forgotten their first ever meeting after all?
Fans have also been speculating that the series may well be planning for a longer first season or even a second-year run since not a lot of the pairs that have been introduced have reached the kind of resolution that Towa and Mami seemed to have had this week.
Will the series be featuring the other, seemingly neglected couples soon? And if so, will their stories see the same level of progress as Towa and Honda's relationship?
"Convenience Store Boy Friends" airs on Thursdays late night at 1:58 a.m. JST on TBS. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes are also available in selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
