Cop Fired 8 Times: Florida Police Officer Could Be Fired for 9th and Final Time (VIDEO)
A cop, who has been fired 8 times, is now fighting to keep his job in Florida, according to reports.
Sgt. German Bosque has reportedly been fired eight times by three different police departments in Florida, including six firings from his current role at Opa-locka in Miami-Dade County.
Bosque had a hearing this week in which city officials were pushing for him to be fired once again after he left his AR-15 rifle with his girlfriend's father last year when he was on leave.
That action violated the department's policy that a weapon should be secured by officers at all times.
Opa-Locka City Attorney Joseph Geller has said, "We're here on a very simple matter. It's going to be up to the arbitrator. We think what the officer did was wrong," according to WFTV Orlando News.
The attorney also described Bosque as the "most disciplined, fined, fired, arrested police officer in the state."
The officer has been accused in the past of cracking the head of a handcuffed suspect, beating juveniles, hiding drugs in his police car, stealing from suspects, defying direct orders and lying and falsifying police reports, according to WFTV.
Some reports have also claimed he once called in sick to take a vacation in Cancun.
However, Bosque's union-provided attorney, Andrew Axelrad, has said, "It's allegations. Allegations are not convictions. We have a system in place, and that system is a fair system."
According to CBS, Bosque has already signed a deal with his bosses saying that one more infringement would be his last. Now the city is arguing that his alleged weapons violation this time qualifies as his ninth and final life with the police force.
Bosque is scheduled to hear about his fate within 60 to 90 days.
