Gambling Site CSGO Lounge Aims to Comply the Gambling Laws
CSGO Lounge is a gambling website for Counter-Strike and they have stated in their website that they plan to comply with gambling laws to continue operating.
Valve recently sent the website a cease-and-desist letter because they are cracking down "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" (CS:GO) gambling websites due illegal gambling activities. CSGO Lounge is a huge skin-betting gambling website where players use real money to win virtual items in CS:GO.

On the CSGO Lounge official website, they wrote that they are seeking to comply with the gambling laws and apply for a license to remain open. They said that by August 1, users from other countries which offers gambling and e-sports betting will have limited access to the site.
Countries not allowed to bet include United Kingdom, Turkey, France, Belgium, Israel, French Polynesia and more. However, they may still be able to withdraw any currency they have on their accounts. Furthermore, they will be installling a more secure registration for anyone wishing to enter the betting threads in the CSGO Lounge. Anyone who wishes to gamble must be 18 years old and above.
Valve's Cease-and-Desist Order to CS:GO Gambling Rings
Kotaku points out that Valve's cease-and-desist letter aimed for websites that used Steam money and services to bet on virtual game items. Steam account holders have agreed upon registration that their accounts are for personal use only and gambling websites like CSGO Lounge directly violates that. CSGO Lounge has expressed that they have been given a 10-day deadline by Valve and it is unknown if they will be able to obtain their license by then.
Gambling license aside, the website has stated that virtual game items in CS:GO and Dota do not use real money. However, according to the Steam Community Market, each item has a value that can be bought with real money. Cinema Blend reports that CSGO Lounge has written that their website operates without "profit interest" and focuses more on entertainment. It is unclear how CSGO Lounge will clear this hurdle as virtual bets with real money are still gambling no matter what state in the US.
