'Couples Therapy' Season 6 News: Carmen Carrera 'Got Tears' Watching Adrian's Marriage Proposal
This week, the couples of VH1's reality show "Couples Therapy" returned for more relationship counselling from Dr. Jenn Mann.
So far, the cast members have made a lot of progress working out their personal and relationship issues. Though there has been resistance, doubts, and drama, this season's couples have all opened up to the celebrity therapist and seem to be on their way to healing their troubled relationships. In the show, therapy usually means drama, intrigue, and theatrics, but this week, there were some heartwarming moments as well.
In Wednesday's episode, "Let's Talk About Sex," the couples talked about their sex lives and Carmen revealed some details about her life as a transgender woman. Also: Adrian proposed.
On a romantic hike, Adrian Torres asked his girlfriend Carmen Carrera, the TV personality, model, and actress who rose to fame on "RuPaul's Drag Race," to get remarried. The two have been together on and off since 2009. They came to "Couples Therapy" to seek help for a relationship that has been plagued by issues of infidelity.
Now, Carmen has spoken up about the proposal, saying on Twiter, "It just happened so fast" and "I got tears watching that." Despite having said "yes" to Adrian, she later hesitated, expressing doubts about getting remarried in the "Couples Therapy" house just two days after the proposal. This upset Adrian.
Carmen revealed why she had a sudden case of cold feet, recalling "Then I got a flashback of all the anxiety I felt sitting on that rock that ruined the moment I was having." She also tweeted "Is wedding peer pressure a real thing?"
This season's couples are Angela "Big Ang" Raiola and Neil Murphy, Janice Dickinson and Dr. Robert "Rocky" Gerner, Carmen Carrera and Adrian Torres, Jaclyn Stapp and Scott Stapp, and Kaylin Garcia and Joe Budden.
"Couples Therapy" Season 6 airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on VH1. Fans can live-stream the episodes here.
