Thousands of anti-abortion protesters gathered at the National Mall in Washington for the 39th annual "March for Life." The rally was for the anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court ruling : Roe v. Wade, legalizing abortion in America. House Speaker John Boehner gave the featured address. He spoke about a bi-partisan House bill that would ban certain federal funds being used for abortion.

"With your help, this bipartisan majority is standing up for life and working to restore the damage with regard to Roe. We are heeding the voice of the people who overwhelmingly oppose taxpayer funding of abortion."

The "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act" passed the House. 
The Senate has not yet taken up the measure.

The European Union has joined the U.S. in launching an economic war against Iran to force it to abandon its suspected nuclear weapons program. Measures will involve an embargo on Iranian oil exports and freezing the assets of its central bank . Western leaders have insisted.....stiff economic sanctions are necessary to avert a possible war with Iran.

Meanwhile, it's been a month since an entire congregation in Western Iran was raided by security forces. And still, no word on the whereabouts of the Pastor of the Assemblies of God church, and three of its congregants. Everyone but these four were released from jail not long after the raid.

Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Erdogan attacked the French parliament for passing a bill that makes it illegal to deny that the mass killing of Armenians by Ottoman Turks nearly a century ago was genocide. Erdogan called the bill "discriminatory and racist" and threatened diplomatic retaliatory measures. Turkey is accusing Sarkozy of trying to win the votes of half a million ethnic Armenians in France in the two-round presidential vote on April 22 and May 6.

New York "Occupy Wall Street" protestors have been accused of theft and even urinating on church property. Some churches have been welcoming members of Occupy Wall Street and have allowed activists to sleep at their property, while others, like "Trinity Wall Street Church", have not, out of concerns about housing large groups of protesters with no clear leadership nor code of conduct.
