A doctors group that supports an Arizona law restricting non-emergency abortions after 20 weeks has filed a legal brief with the U.S. Court of Appeals showing that babies feel pain during an abortion as early as 20 weeks. A district court found that unborn children have developed pain sensors all over their bodies by 20 weeks . Senior Council with Alliance Defending Freedom --Steven H. Aden-- said infants feel "horrific pain and accused the ACLU and the Center for Reproductive Rights don't care about this.

Extreme athlete Felix Baumgartner has been successful in his attempt to become the first man to officially break the sound barrier aboard an airplane. He landed gracefully on Earth after a 24-mile jump yesterday from the stratosphere …in a daring, dramatic feat that officials said made him the first skydiver to fall faster than the speed of sound. He came down safely in the eastern New Mexico desert about nine minutes after jumping from his capsule. A jump observer from the International Federation of Sports Aviation said he reached a maximum speed of 833.9 mph.

Former U.S. Senator Arlen Specter, known for his switch from being a Republiccan over to being a Democrat at the twilight of his political career has passed away after a long battle with cancer. He died at his home in Philadelphia. He was 82.

A mosque in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island is getting messages of support from across Canada. That comes as police continue to investigate incidents that left members of the mosque feeling threatened.

A 16-year-old Christian boy in Pakistan ran for his life and has now gone into hiding along with his family after he was accused of sending text messages that blasphemed Muhammad. Protesters broke into his Karachi house and burned all of the family's furniture and appliances. None of them were booked for trespassing and arson. In fact, a police official referred to the arsonists as being among the complianants. The case comes at a time Christian girl Rimsha Masih is being tried in a court under blasphemy laws, even though a Muslim cleric was taken into custody for setting her up. Rimsha is reported by some to be 11 years old, but others as 14.

Authorities in Iran's Fars Province have arrested seven Christians after raiding a house church. Five other Christian converts who were detained eight months ago from the same province are facing trial today. Over 300 Christians have been arbitrarily arrested and detained over the last two years.
