CP World Report: Sikh Temple Shooting, Syria, Egypt, Olympic
40 year old Wade Michael Page, the man identified in the shooting rampage at the Milwaukee area Sikh temple that killed six people on Sunday has been described as a white supremacist that spread his message of hate for over a decade. Page, an ex-Army soldier was shot dead by a police officer at the scene. The FBI is treating the incident as an act of domestic terrorism. Three other shooting victims were taken to hospital in critical condition. Reporter Ann Rubin explains Sikh men have been targets of hate crimes for years.
A Jordanian official has reported that Syrian Prime Minister Riad Hijab has defected to Jordan. According to an aid, Hijab planned the break for months. He is the highest-level political figure to switch sides, in the string of military and diplomatic figures who have abandoned the Al Assad regime.
The Egyptian military has vowed to hunt down those behind the killing of its 16 soldiers at a checkpoint along the Sinai border with Israel. Egypt blamed Islamic militants from Gaza and the Sinai Peninsula. The Israeli military said the attack was part of a plot to abduct an Israeli soldier.

Christian Copts in Egypt are unhappy with the new Islamist Government. A month after Muslim Brotherhood's Mohamed Morsi was sworn in as president, the church's interim leader—Bishop Bakhomious said Christians were not fairly represented in the newly formed Cabinet, and are now facing a rise in attacks. Washington's 2011 International Religious Freedom Report, released last week, also expressed concern for Christian Copts in Egypt.

Hundreds of protestors turned out to the 10th Annual Jerusalem Gay Pride Parade. The protesters rallied against what they purported was harming the sanctity of Jerusalem. More than 5,000 gays and lesbians and their supporters assembled in the downtown Independence Park before starting their march through the holy city. The Jerusalem Post reported that the town's "Welcome to Jerusalem" sign had been spray painted with rainbow colors. Police were out in full force to make sure there were no violent outbreaks.

Alex Morgan scored in extra time as the United States beat Canada 4-3 in women's soccer semifinal in London yesterday. The U.S. is now off to the Gold medal match.
And….Jenn Suhr captured a gold for the U.S. in the women's pole vault.
Canadian show-jumpers still managed to finish fifth after—what was called—an insane disqualification of Canadian rider Tiffany Foster because her horse Victor was found to have inflammation because of a scratch. The decision left Canada reduced to a trio.
All three Canadian 100-metre women hurdlers moved on to the Olympic semi-finals today.
Medal standing at the games: China leads at 64, U.S. at 63. Canada has 10.
