The wife of country music singer Craig Strickland has asked fans for prayers after her husband went missing during a recent hunting trip in Oklahoma.

Helen Strickland and other family members have taken to social media to request prayers after her husband's boat was found capsized in Kaw Lake in Kay County after a hunting trip over the weekend.

Strickland and his hunting partner, Chase Morland, had reportedly gone hunting when winter storm Goliath struck Oklahoma and other parts of the south on Monday.

"Craig's dog Sam has been found. His boat has been confirmed as being capsized," Helen shared on Twitter on Monday. "They are still searching for Craig. Please keep praying."

The former Miss Arkansas USA added in a tweet later on Monday that her husband was still missing and the search for him had been called off for the night due to poor weather conditions.

"Craig is still missing. The search has been called for the night. It will resume again in the morning with a sonar boat. Still need prayers," Helen subsequently tweeted Monday evening.

Craig's father, Randy, also shared a post regarding his missing son on Facebook, writing: "We are trying to think of a scenario where he is still alive."

"Hoping against the odds. We can't even stand to think about it. We are devastated. Only God & time can put us back together. Love all!" Randy added.

Strickland, 29, and Morland, 22, had reportedly set off on a duck hunting trip over the weekend when the vicious storm front ravaged Oklahoma, as well as New Mexico and parts of the northeast.

Morhead had sent out a now-ominous tweet before the hunting duo went missing, writing on Twitter on Saturday evening: "In case we don't come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm."

Along with requesting prayers on social media, relatives and friends attended a prayer vigil at Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas, on Monday for the missing men.

Strickland is a member of the country rock band Backroad Anthem. The band also shared a message on their Facebook page, saying that there is "power in prayer."

"We are asking all fans to please pray for Craig & Chase to be found safe and sound. Please also pray for Craigs family, his wife, and for us band members. We love you guys and we appreciate your ever loving support for our dream. #‎PowerInPrayer," the band wrote on Monday morning.
