'Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy' PS4 Trailer, Gameplay News: New Playthrough Trailer Features First Water Level in 'Crash Bandicoot 2'

A new gameplay trailer has just been released for the upcoming platformer video game compilation "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy." The remastered edition, which will be released in June, features the first three games in the "Crash Bandicoot" series namely "Crash Bandicoot," Cortex Strikes Back" and "Warped."

The playthrough video for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) compatible release features an impressive look into the level Hang Eight in "Crash Bandicoot 2," which showcased Venus Fly Traps that can sneakily lunge out and take a player down among the rapids and waterfalls.

According to the official description, the trailer introduces the first water level from "Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back!" This particular level pits the game's protagonist, Crash, against an overgrown river that will not only highlight his new on foot moves, the slide and body slam, but will also give the player a chance to operate Crash's first vehicle, which is a souped-up jet board.

But while excitement over the game continues to rise, it remains a mystery whether the remastered title will be playable on other platforms once it is released. A particular tweet from the PlayStation base in Ireland has given rise to speculation that the game may not only be a PS4 and PS4 Pro exclusive like what was initially assumed. Instead, these two aforementioned platforms will only be paving the way for the game to be made available to other platforms soon.

Rumors about the title releasing on Xbox One has been making the rounds since. Moreover, there have also been speculations that a new "Crash Bandicoot" installment may be in the works, depending on how the upcoming remastered collection will fare for PS4 gamers.

"Obviously we're fans. Everybody wants to see a new Crash game. I'm onside with everybody else. We'd love to see as much Crash as possible," a member of the development team told Express Online.

"Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" officially launches for PS4 and PS4 Pro on June 30.
