'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' Season 3 Spoilers, Air Date: Star Rachel Bloom Previews Rebecca's Revenge, Musical Opening

When season 3 of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" rolls around, fans can expect a more vengeful Rebecca Bunch (Rachel Bloom).

This much was revealed by Bloom when she spoke to TVLine. As avid fans may recall, Rebecca was left at the altar by Josh (Vincent Rodriguez III) when he decided to follow the life of a priest.

"I want to bring him down in any way I can," Bloom said of her character's goal this new season. "It's a very guttural, visceral thing."

As for her former lover, Josh is going to be busy with his newfound career path though he will soon find that the road to becoming a priest is not riddled with rainbows and butterflies. Showrunner Aline Brosh McKenna previewed that Josh is "going to be confronted with the reality" of how hard priesthood is. As previously reported, Josh might not see his new career all the way to the end since he is known to leave things midway through.

The premiere episode of season 3 will see the residents of West Covina engaged in a musical number that mostly has to do with where Rebecca is, as she disappeared since she was left at the altar. However, fans can expect that she is out for Josh's blood after humiliating her and breaking her heart. By her side will be her friends Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin), Heather (Vella Lovell) and Valencia (Gabrielle Ruiz).

"I think it's our funniest season, but it's definitely our most intense, emotionally," McKenna teased. "It kind of feels like we're finally getting to the really meaty heart of this dynamic... this is definitely the revenge part of the 'crazy ex' concept. The vengeful part."

Apart from that, fans can also look forward to seeing a different Josh this upcoming season. It has already been revealed that Josh Groban will be guest starring at some point and will even lend his vocals to a song or two.

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" season 3 will premiere on Friday, Oct. 13, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
