Creation Festival: Stream of Worship

The second day of Creation Festival featured musical performances by Lincoln Brewster, Starfield, Sanctus Real, Tait, Todd Agnew, Caedmon's Call, Christopher Wright, Toby Mac, and Michael W. Smith.

"We are drawn to the Cross tonight. We are drawn to what our Savior did for us. We are told to come and remember the sacrifice of Christ," said the pastor who closed Thursday night of Creation Festival East Coast with a communion service.

Tens of thousands of youths came for Day 2 of what many call "the largest music, teaching, and camping festival."

While exact figures are not in, organizers say there are more registrants this year than in any of the past 26 years. Last year, total attendance hit the six-digit mark with over 100,000 people; most were youths who came for worship through music and fellowship.

"In many churches, the worry is over losing young people," said The Reverend Rob Schenck, president of Faith and Action and speaker at the event, "but with Creation, it only gains in participation every year, and that's what makes it such an exciting event."

"Over the years, the enthusiasm of the young people, the level of participation, and the seriousness of the young people who come to learn from Scripture, to be edified in their Christian faith, and to enjoy fellowship with other Christians gets greater and greater," he said of what amazed him most.

For Joan Yamashita, the Creation Festival was where she rediscovered her faith and turned back from the "wrong path."

In an online chat room for Creation Festival maintained by CMRadio, Yamashita said of her experience, "I have never felt God's presence so strongly."

"It's amazing. In all honesty, it changed my life," said the twenty-year-old who attended Creation Festival for six years. This year, she has opted to tune in from the radio broadcast when her summer internship kept her from attending in person, though her mother and her brother are there without her.

CMRadio is also the network that is streaming Creation Festival live online and on the radio for the second year.

"We are very excited to be teaming with CMRadio once again for the live streaming of the Festival," says Tim Landis, Creation Festival Co-Founder.

Last year, more than 20,000 music fans from around the world tuned-in, and organizers anticipate an even larger number this year.

"This is a great alternative for people who are not able to attend the Festival first-hand to experience the Creation Festival as if they are standing in the arena at Agape Farm," said Landis in a statement.

The second day of Creation Festival began with a musical presentation. Youth pastor worker and president of WisdomWorks, Mark Matlock, and Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, Buster Soaries, were speakers for the night, which ended with worship music by popular Christian artists, Sanctus Real, Tait, Todd Agnew, Caedmon's Call, Christopher Wright, Toby Mac, and Michael W. Smith.

"What a wonderful night," said the announcer amidst some cheers. "We were challenged by Todd Agnew, just kind of grooved with Kay - Toby Mac just kind of landed, and Michael helped us to worship, but through it all, Jesus was Lord."

On day one of the Festival, Barlowgirl, David Crowder, Relient K, Switchfoot, Lincoln Brewster played amidst their fans. Meanwhile, Greg Laurie of Harvest Crusades and Dan Owens of Eternity Minded Ministries - both evangelists who preached to hundreds of thousands of people - spoke messages of renewal and hope.

Day three, Friday, will kick off with Michael Grungor, an artist who combines maturity with worship, at 9 a.m.
