More than 30 leading creationists, including Liberty University Jerry Falwell, is in Virginia for the 2005 Creation Mega Conference.
More than 30 leading creationists gathered in Lynchburg, Va. for the 2005 Creation Mega Conference yesterday, to discuss wide-ranging topics in the creation-evolution debate.
The six-day conference, hosted by Liberty University in partnership with Answers in Genesis (AiG), opened with a performance by Buddy Davis - a Dinosaur sculptor, author/speaker, and musician, according to AiG.
Other scholars and researchers to speak at the conference include Liberty's founder and chancellor Dr. Jerry Falwell, and Dr. David DeWitt, Director of the Center for Creation Studies and Associate Professor of Biology.
“The debate over evolution and creationism is not going away,” said DeWitt, whose two presentations are titled “Molecular Evidence of Creation” and “Image of God or Planet of Apes.”
“This conference will provide a mechanism for Christians to communicate information about creationism from reputable scientists; information that is often brushed aside by evolutionists,” he said.
Morning and evening devotions will be available in audio format, plus one session per day in video clip at http://info.answersingenesis.org/mc2005/.
