Creators of 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' to Produce 'Preacher Wives'

By now many have heard of the numerous "Housewives" series, such as "Real Housewives of Atlanta" or "Basketball Wives" that often depicts dramatic women and questionable moral choices. With this in mind, are you ready for "Preacher Wives?"

According to "Inside TV," TLC has ordered a new series that will be a docu-soap following the lives strong-willed Atlanta based women in the city's religious community.

In partnership with True Entertainment, the production company for Bravo's "Real Housewives of Atlanta," the show will reveal the everyday lives of women with leadership roles in church, covering how they handle the "politics" of the church, counseling congregants in trouble or need, and the hiring and firing of staff.

As these women handle various day-to-day tasks in their positions, including the task of preaching for some, the show seeks to bring attention to women in religious communities that some feel is usually geared toward men.

"With most praise in religious communities directed towards male preachers, we are thrilled to give these remarkable ladies the spotlight they crave and deserve," said Steven Weinstock, president of True Entertainment.
