'Criminal Minds' Season 12 Finale: BAU Gets Assistance From Returning Team Member
A familiar face will return in the "Criminal Minds" season 12 finale to help the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) to put an end to their biggest ordeal yet.
Shemar Moore, who left the series after the tenth season, is set to reprise his role as Derek Morgan in the season ender and his role will be important too. Morgan seems to hold the key that could finally help the BAU take down Mr. Scratch (Bodhi Elfman).
A press release for the "Criminal Minds" season 12 finale teases that Morgan brings a lead in the case against the serial killer and escaped convict.
Mr. Scratch has been messing with BAU all throughout "Criminal Minds" season 12. In fact, Prentiss (Paget Brewster) and company think he is responsible for Reid's (Matthew Grey Gubler) horrible predicament.
However, so far, the BAU has not made a move on Mr. Scratch as it appears that there is nothing yet to connect him to Reid's arrest for murder.
But it looks like the "Criminal Minds" season 12 finale should see them finally close in on the murderer and it is all thanks to Morgan.
To make Moore's exit work in the last season of the series, his character left the BAU to spend some time with his family. It turns out that he has kept close tabs on his colleagues enough to gather information on Mr. Scratch that might just help them finally put the serial killer to prison.
Many fans have missed Moore on "Criminal Minds" season 12. They were hoping that he will turn up especially with what Reid is going through at the moment as the two were like brothers. It turns out that Moore is still someone the BAU can depend on.
The "Criminal Minds" season 12 finale airs Wednesday, May 10. Before that, fans can first focus on next week's episode, "In the Dark," airing March 22 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. In this episode, the BAU will make every attempt to make sure Reid is safe while behind bars.
