'Criminal Minds' Season 13 Episode 3 Spoilers: Squad Investigates a Detroit Heist
A power-hungry Unsub will inspire terror in the hearts of some businessmen in Detroit in the next episode of "Criminal Minds."
CBS's viewing schedule for the new season has been a source of confusion for its viewers. Recently, it changed the line up of the procedural's upcoming episodes. Instead of "Killer App," the episode that will reportedly air on Oct. 11 is "Blue Angel." The synopsis reveals that Prentiss (Paget Brewster) and her squad will hunt down a criminal who targets successful entrepreneurs in Detroit. The Unsub is said to be driven by anger, hinting that his vendetta stems from a traumatic personal experience.
Last episode, the unit took down a killer who disposed of his victims using old suitcases. After several weeks of rest following the tragic car accident they were involved in, Prentiss and the others went back to work. Simmons (Daniel Henney) has also officially joined the investigation.
Showrunner Erica Messer explained to TV Guide the need for a short break for the team. The deaths of Scratch (Bodhi Elfman) and Walker (Damon Gupton) shook the team to the core. Prentiss even needed to take some time off to forget her harrowing encounter with the serial killer. For a while, viewers feared for her safety and sanity.
"We do a discussion at the end of the premiere saying, 'We've been asked to take some time off to heal,' and that's emotionally and physically for those that were in the car accident," Messer said. "So when we come back in the second episode, which will be the following week...weeks have passed so that people's stitches have healed and their bruises are healed and nobody's walking with a limp or anything like that."
"Criminal Minds" season 13 airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on CBS.
