'Criminal Minds' season 13 Episode 6 Spoilers: JJ and Reid Get Trapped in a 'Twilight Zone'

Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) and JJ (A.J. Cook) will find themselves trapped inside the rabbit hole in the next episode of "Criminal Minds."

In the episode titled "The Bunker," the synopsis reveals that BAU will handle a spooky case involving the disappearance of several women. The team will travel to Virginia, and the investigation will lead to a veritable twilight zone. They will find out that the missing girls have something in common and that this may be the reason why there are abducted.

The promo shows Reid and JJ leading the probe. They are shown checking out a circular door on the ground, which leads to what looks like a bunker. The inside of the dugout is painted all white. Both agents will realize the danger they are in. As they try to wait for reinforcement, it becomes apparent that they are well and truly trapped.

Suddenly, women and children dressed in white appear. A voice calls for the doctor, stating that he has new patients. Reid and JJ can only stare at the apparition, bug-eyed. Back at the headquarters, Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) is similarly shocked. They have found the missing individuals, but they have no idea what kind of mess they have stumbled into.

The promo photos show the rest of the BAU extremely worried about their friends. Prentiss (Paget Brewster) is with Alvez (Adam Rodriguez) and Simmons (Daniel Henney), and they seem to be thinking of the best way to approach the situation. Since Reid and JJ are essentially trapped underground with no way out, they have to think of a way to get them out the soonest time possible.

Last episode, BAU took on a case that sent Garcia reeling. It took a dear friend's encouragement to make her face her fears. Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) returned to show support to his "baby girl." Garcia was beyond happy that her old friend visited her at the headquarters. When Morgan left the team, she was brokenhearted.

"Criminal Minds" season 13 airs Wednesdays, at 10 p.m. EDT on CBS.
