Meanwhile, a slew of guest stars will be featured in the show's upcoming season. Mark Paul Gosselaar (Saved by the Bell) will be playing twins Jared Briscoe and Paul Winthrop, while "Fringe" alum Mark Valley will be playing a detective who'll be working closely with Finlay.

It also looks like romance will be in the cards for Finlay as she develops feelings for Valley's character. According to TVLine, the two won't get along in the beginning, but they will feel a strong attraction for each other.

Also set to guest star is Skipp Sudduth ("The Good Wife'," Criminal Minds") who will appear in an October episode of "CSI." Sudduth will play Mr. Lusk, a high school janitor who witnesses a horrifying crime. Sudduth has directed five episodes of "CSI: NY" and this will be the first time for him to be in front of the camera in a "CSI" show.

In other news, another "CSI" spin-off is about to make its debut, titled "CSI:Cyber." The show will feature a lot of familiar faces like Patricia Arquette, Luke Perry, Bow Wow, and James Van Der Beek.

"CSI" returns on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 10/9c on CBS.
