Customer Outraged After Ross Lets Man Use Women's Dressing Room
Popular department store in the US, Ross, is taking some heat after in the ongoing transgender controversy after letting a man use the women's dressing room.
Reports indicated that a man was let into a women's dressing room earlier this week in one of the Ross department stores. A woman named Lisa Stickles complained that the Mesquite branch allowed a man to enter the women's dressing room while she was inside.
She explained, "I was in the dressing room, when we heard a man's voice. She [the manager] went inside the dressing room, came right back out and called me to the side and told me… he was representing himself as a woman today."

According to CBS, upon contacting Ross, a customer service representative did not comment on the matter. The representative did state that they do not discriminate against the transgender community, which means that they will allow customers to use the changing rooms according to their gender identity. However, Sickles was not happy with the comment, stating that the incident made her uncomfortable.
She said, "What about me? Or my feelings? (The manager) told me that if I felt uncomfortable in the dressing room with him there… I'd have to wait until he's finished. He was in no way dressed as a woman. He had on jeans, a t-shirt, 5 o'clock shadow, very deep voice. He was a man."
Meanwhile, it was reported that not only Ross has this policy regarding which restroom or changing room to use. Other big department stores such as Target, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls also allow customers to choose based on their gender identity.
On another hand, there is a current case in North Carolina to question the initiative to allow transgenders to use certain restrooms and changing rooms, as per ABC News. It was also argued that keeping transgenders from allowing to choose their preference in restrooms and changing rooms is a violation of their rights.
