Cyber Monday 2017: Continuation of Great Deals and Discounts; When Will It Happen?

November is one of the most exciting months for shoppers especially in the United States because apart from the famously known Black Friday sale, many retailers continue their exclusive deals and promos in what is called Cyber Monday.

Simply put, Cyber Monday is a massive sale day that immediately follows the Black Friday event. However, it happens in a somewhat different field -- online shopping.

During the Black Friday sale, retailers across the United States offer major discounts on almost all of their products -- especially in the electronics and home appliances aisles -- with their so-called "doorbuster" sales.

People looking forward to joining thousands of others in swarming to their nearest retailers must prepare to run like they are in a marathon. Such days are never hassle-free and will sometimes even require the attention of law enforcement officers.

For those who want to avoid these kinds of scenes or may not have gotten the best of Black Friday's doorbuster sales, the Cyber Monday or the Cyber Week sale is designed for them since this means another wave of limited-time sale offers but mostly for online transactions.

Apart from the United States, the Cyber Monday sale is also observed in various countries such as Australia, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, other parts of Europe, and more.

It is also important to note that Cyber Monday is not an official holiday. However, the marketing term started to become an annual event for consumers in 2005 and emphasized online shopping.

Meanwhile, by comparison, previous reports maintained that the Black Friday sale was still the time for more exclusive deals and items put on discounts.

However, with the apparent rise of people's interest in online shopping over the years, the Cyber Monday sale is somehow catching up, at least in terms of revenue. In 2016, Adobe's Digital Insights saw a slow but definite growth in Cyber Monday's sales, according to CNBC.

This year, Cyber Monday falls on Nov. 27 and reports expect most of the online promos to go live by 8 a.m. EST of the said date.
