Cyber Monday Deals at Amazon, Walmart and Target Include Digital Cameras and HDTVs
Black Friday has the notoriety, but Cyber Monday is more lucrative as shoppers in the U.S. are expected to spend more than $1 billion on the most popular online shopping day of the year.
Deals and special offers is what drives consumers onto the Internet for the annual digital answer to Black Friday.
Amazon is one of the top sites for shopping on Cyber Monday. The company offers deals on electronics, books, apparel, and other popular items.
A Sony Cybershot DSC-HX5V 10.2 Megapixel Digital Camera will sell at $199, which is a $150 discount. Customers who buy more than $100 of Dewalt tools will receive $25 off the purchase. Sweaters and fleeces are discounted up to 60 percent off. And popular albums will be sold for as little as $4.99.
Walmart, which offered some of the lowest priced items for Black Friday, will do the same for Cyber Monday.
A Toshiba 32-inch LCD HDTV will sell for just $249 online. A Hot Wheels Mega Garage Playset is priced at $25. A Disney Cars 2 Talking Chair is only $19. And an Xbox Holiday Gamer Bundle is slated to sell for $319.
Target, another retail giant, is offering discounts to most items on Cyber Monday. Apparel, electronics and furniture will be discounted up to 50 percent off. Video games and DVDs will be discounted up to 75 percent off. Movies will start at just $3.99.
Kmart is selling an Ario 32-inch LCD HDTV for $199.99, which is $100 off the standard price. A GPX PD701W Portable DVD 7-inch LCD is priced at $49.99, down from $74.99.
Most online retailers will offer free shipping on Cyber Monday. Some websites have a minimum purchase requirement to get the shipping deal.
Many stores, including Walmart, also have apps to help with purchases made with smartphones and tablets.
