'Cyberpunk 2077' News: CD Projekt Red's Next Offering 'Progressing as Planned'
Still no release date known for 'Cyberpunk 2077'
The success of "The Witcher 3" has elevated the profile of development studio CD Projekt Red. It has also served to increase the hype level for their next offering known as "Cyberpunk 2077."
Unfortunately, the upcoming game has not been talked about that much even following the release of the expansion packs for "The Witcher 3," and that has understandably caused some fans to grow concerned.
Because of those concerns and some other recent happenings involving the studio, the folks at CD Projekt Red have decided to put out a statement meant to calm things down a bit.
While there were quite a few interesting tidbits included in the statement, the part that gamers will likely focus on is the one that directly addresses what is going on right now with "Cyberpunk 2077."
According to the developers, the upcoming game is "progressing as planned" but they are not rushing things.
Addressing the fact that they have provided hardly any details about the aforementioned title, the developers shared that "in this case, silence is the cost of making a great game."
It was not the meatiest development update for sure, but it was still more than what fans have been given recently.
Going by what the developers said in that statement, it also seems like they will not start suddenly dropping lengthy blog posts detailing the game anytime in the immediate future, so fans will just have to stay on standby for now.
Developers did provide some details about the game previously, as they shared that it will be "set in the near future" at a time during which various forms of technology have become more prominent as they proved to be both helpful and harmful.
There will also be a "multi-thread, nonlinear story" included in the game.
Fans will just have to wait and see how "Cyberpunk 2077" turns out, though that may take a while since the game does not even have a release date yet.
