Dallas Cowboys Roster News: Cowboys' Injured Stars Look Positive on Their Returns

Dallas have been surviving without their best players on the field.

The Dallas Cowboys have been excellent in the early parts of the season as they try to boost their chances to be one of the title favourites in the National Football League.

They currently lead the NFC East and have done so without their top two stars on the offensive end available on the pitch.

Fans and critics were shocked during the first game of the Cowboys when they lost their star receiver Dez Bryant in their win against the New York Giants.

Bryant suffered a foot injury and required surgery. That would mean he would be out for an extended period of time.

He underwent surgery on September 14 and is undergoing rehabilitation for him to return to fitness.

Many people are monitoring his injury and according to recent reports, there seems to be a positive light at the end of the tunnel as Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports claimed that Bryant may be back in Week 7 when they play the New York Giants.

La Canfora added: "Some reports have suggested Bryant's rehab could be at least a three-month recovery. However, Bryant has not been told that a return after the Cowboys' Week 6 bye is out of the question. He continues to tell others that he expects to play in Week 7 and the Cowboys maintain that is a realistic outcome as well."

Meanwhile, star quarterback Tony Romo broke his left clavicle in a Week 2 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Already reeling from the loss of Bryant, Romo's injury was a big negative for Dallas faithful. But now, they might be able to breathe a sigh of relief as Todd Archer of ESPN and La Canfora reported that Romo may return in Week 11.

"Doctors told Romo the average recovery time for his injury was 7-8 weeks, and he is on pace to be back right at the eight-week mark, in time to face the Dolphins in Week 11."
