Dallas Cowboys NFL Trade Rumors: Jerry Jones Will Decide Tony Romo's Fate 'Before Training Camp'
It's clear that the Dallas Cowboys are in no hurry to resolve the situation with Tony Romo. It's been weeks already since the start of the free agency and they are still holding on to him. The Houston Texans and Denver Broncos are not going take the bait and trade for him, so what are the Cowboys waiting for? Will they finally release him? Will this game of chicken finally end?
Well, it seems that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has given himself a deadline to resolve the issue. During an interview at the annual league meeting in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday, Jones told reporters that he plans to make a decision "before training camp."
That means Romo's suitors will have to wait until the end of July. However, FOX Sports' Nunzio Ingrassia thinks the Cowboys will probably make a decision soon especially when the draft is just a month away.

Meanwhile, Jones did not talk about Romo's plans for the future, but he did say they were on good terms and they have been communicating a lot in the past few days. He also noted that they were not in a hurry to make a decision.
"It's no waiting game here. This is the offseason. We're not missing doing anything. From the standpoint of the franchise and the Cowboys, nothing is being held up here at all," he said, according to the Houston Chronicle.
"There's several alternatives that Tony has. As much as we look at this as an important time for Tony, he's got some great options. I don't want to get into anything he's thinking, but we're in good communication. We're basically recognizing (that) we're in the offseason, and we don't have anything imminent pushing us," he continued.
The Cowboys can still keep Romo if they want, but they will probably let him play somewhere else if he doesn't retire.
