On the other hand, if the Mavericks lose they will only be 1.0 games ahead of the Jazz as they hold on to the eighth spot while the Blazers may cut down the lead the Memphis Grizzlies have over them in the table.
The Blazers will rely heavily on Damian Lillard who has been spectacular in the league. He has carried the team and helped improve the Blazers more than what were expected of them to start the season.
Along with CJ McCollum, the Blazers have a potent backcourt that can challenge even the best in the league.
On the other hand, the Mavericks have ex-Blazer Wesley Matthews for range outside, while Dirk Nowitzki is still one of the best players on the offensive end.
