'Dance Moms' News: Show Skips Timeslot on Halloween Night, Will Not Air Again on Nov. 7
"Dance Moms" tuning in to the Lifetime channel on Halloween night were disappointed to find that the dance reality show did not go on air. Where did the show go?
Fans might be worried that something unfortunate happened to the production of "Dance Moms" when it failed to show up in its regular timeslot on Tuesday, Oct. 31. Instead, Lifetime chose to air two movies at 9 p.m. EDT on Halloween Night.
There's legitimate cause to worry since Lifetime itself seems unsure what to make of the dance reality show ever since the Abby Lee Dance Company founder went to jail about three months ago.
Since then, Lifetime has reportedly announced the end of the show after season 7. It was a statement that they later clarified, saying that the Oct. 31 episode of "Dance Moms" is, instead, a season finale.
The episode for that day was off the air, instead, and have been replaced by two movies. "Dance Moms" fans were treated to a rerun of "The Watcher in the Woods: Enhanced," a movie directed and produced by Melissa Joan Hart of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" fame.
It was a rerun of the movie's premiere on Oct. 21, according to the International Business Times. The family-oriented film is based on the 1980's classic of the same title and follows the life of a family living in a rented manor in the British countryside.
Lifetime's schedule for next week's Tuesday, Nov. 7, still has no trace of "Dance Moms." On the 9 p.m. EDT timeslot on that day, the movie "How Do You Know" has been slotted in.
"How Do You Know" stars Reese Witherspoon as Lisa Jorgenson, a softball fanatic that has been cut from the team when she was considered too old to play in regular rotation, at 31 years old. This romantic comedy also stars Owen Wilson as Matty, a charming womanizer and baseball player who starts a fling with Jorgenson.
