'Dance Moms' season 6 update: Abby Lee Miller may not come back to show, Cathy Nesbitt-Stein to replace her?
Another season of "Dance Moms" has wrapped up again and the popular Lifetime series that featured Abby Lee Miller, young dancers and their mothers for five seasons are coming back for the show's sixth installment. Not everyone will be coming back though and first on the list is Miller who runs the Abby Lee Dance Company.
According to News Everyday, the passionate dance instructor might not be returning to the sixth season because of some issues with the network. Reports say that there are conflicts with the show producers that may be the hindrance to the production of the next season. Miller sat with ET for an interview last June and opened up the problem.
"Lifetime is a little in arrears on their payment plan with me personally, and so I think that will have to be taken care of first before we talk about season six," she said during the interview.
With the uncertainty of Miller, fans are wondering who would be taking her place on the show. According to Master Herald, Candy Apples' Cathy Nesbitt-Stein admitted that she is certainly interested in going back to the show and even replace Miller if the dance coach decides to leave the show. Nesbitt-Stein and her daughter Vivi-Anne were not part of the whole season five due to some schedule conflicts. But now that the dance choreographer has arranged her schedule, she expressed her readiness to go back to season six of "Dance Moms." The Candy Apples owner said in an interview that she would take the job "in a heartbeat."
"If that's that direction that they wanted to go because then I know they have to film in Ohio. I don't know that Abby would let that happen, though," Nesbitt-Stein said.
Apart from Miller, reports say that cast member Maddie Ziegler is also uncertain about returning to the upcoming season. Fans will have to stay tuned for updates. "Dance Moms" season six will premiere on Lifetime sometime next year.
