'Dance Moms' News: Maddie Ziegler Moving On From Show After Season 6
Child dancer, actress and model Maddie Ziegler is bound to say goodbye to Lifetime's reality TV show "Dance Moms." According to Vine Report, the young star has long been rumored to leave the platform where she built her name and popularity. And now, the rumors have been confirmed to be true.
Us Weekly reported that season 6 of "Dance Moms" is indeed the last round for Ziegler. She has been part of the reality TV series since it debuted in 2011 and starred alongside co-talents Chloe Lukasiak, Vivi-Anne Nesbitt-Stein, Brooke and Paige Hyland and Asia Ray. Their head coach and chief choreographer, Abby Lee Miller, has also been there for her during her early years of dancing wherein she won all but one dance competition for the Abby Lee Dance Company team.
Seventeen also detailed that her fame led her to score roles on hit shows like "Austin and Ally" and "Pretty Little Liars." Aside from that, she was also featured in viral music videos of hit songs "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart" by Sia.
Fortunately, there is no particular dramatic reason as to why Ziegler will be leaving the show. A source said that Ziegler, who is now 13 years old, has simply grown up.
"[She] has her sights set on Hollywood, with big plans to focus on acting post-Dance Moms," the source shared. "Acting is something she's really excited to pursue and [Maddie] is in high demand," adds the source.
This can only mean that it won't be the last time that fans will be seeing Ziegler's face on screen. In fact, they will be catching more of her in bigger projects like the last one that she just finished filming for. Ziegler is part of the cast of the 2016 movie titled "The Book of Henry."
She is also going to take part in Sia's first movie called "Sister." As of now, there is no announcement yet on whether "Dance Moms" will be renewed for season 7. But if does, fans will be missing Ziegler.
