'Dancing with the Stars' news: Bindi Irwin extremely happy with her teammate's support

Bindi could not be any happier with her dancing partner, Derek Hough, in the dancing reality show "Dancing with the Stars."

Bindi said that she badly wants to make her partner proud, during the show's Tuesday episode. In the rehearsal video clip, the Australian TV presenter complained that she is having difficulties in getting the steps she needed. She was later teased by the Dancing with the Stars co-host Tom Bergeron, when she used a colorful metaphor to describe the practice. "My brain is bugging me today. If you could paint a picture right now – a picture of Bindi's brain, it would be a beautiful daisy meadow, and there would be a fine mist over the meadow," Steve Irwin's daughter joked.

During the live performance, the duo got a big applause from the audience with their waltz performance.
Bindi and Derek waltzed to Jonny Lang's "Only a Man" beautifully, but the judges were not happy because of the "lift" in their dance routine. A lift is a waltz no-no, but the dancing couple still managed to get a high 23-out-of-30 score.

Erin Andrews, the reality show's host, asked Bindi on how she is handling the pressure to perform well. She said it is because of the "love and support" of her family, as well as her partner, Derek's help. She called Derek the "most amazing teammate." "This is all about that teamwork. Not only do I have a friend, he feels like an older brother and we're working together," she added.

Meanwhile, on last Monday's episode, Bindi paid tribute to her late father when she and Derek danced AC/DC's "You Shook Me." She said it is one of her dad's favorite songs, and the "Crocodile Hunter" would have been proud. "I remember when I was really little dancing to that song with dad. And it means everything to me," she emotionally said.

Bindi and Derek ended up in the first place that night, with a score of 25 out of 30.
