Dancing With the Stars: Ricki Lake Still Going Strong, Nancy Grace Set for Elimination
Monday night’s Halloween performances on Dancing with the Stars have further proven that Ricki Lake is the strongest contender slated to win the mirror ball trophy.
Despite a rib injury sustained during rehearsals last week, Lake and her professional dance partner Derek Hough earned 27 out of 30 points from the judges for their Paso Doble dance moves to Beyonce’s Sweet Dreams.
DWTS Judge Bruno complimented their Red-Riding Hood–themed dance.
“That was a blizzard of passion and fear,” said the judge, who is often a much harsher critic.
Lake and Hough have ruled the scoreboard since the beginning of the season and it is widely believed they will win the championship.
The lowest scores of the night went to news-show host Nancy Grace and her partner Tristan MacManus. The 52-year-old earned 21 points for her jive to The Charlie Daniels Band’s Devil Went Down to Georgia.
DWTS Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said of the performance: “We have our good days and we have our not-so-good days…” before she trailed off.
Judge Bruno said, “It looks like your shoes were too small.” He had one compliment though, adding, “But you look suitably devilish,” referring to Grace's costume.
Speaking to ABC news ahead of season 13, Grace expressed her fears about appearing on the show.
“I think my biggest fear is falling,” said the celebrity who has lasted seven weeks on DWTS. “Look at all the competition, they’re young, skinny, beautiful singers, soccer players, stars – I’m a lawyer.”
Grace and MacManus appeared tense while they received feedback from the judges, and the duo is at risk of elimination tonight.
The complete list of scores follows.
Ricki Lake and Derek Hough: 27
Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke: 25
J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff: 25
David Arquette and Kym Johnson: 24

Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus: 21
DWTS Results Show will announce the next star to be eliminated Tuesday on ABC at 8:30 p.m. EST.
