Dancing With the Stars: Rob Kardashian Sweeps DWTS Despite Kim's Divorce

In lieu of the recent divorce announcement by his sister Kim, Rob Kardashian has earned his best scores on Dancing with the Stars of his dancing career yet.

Kim Kardashian was noticeably missing from the audience during Monday night’s performances after announcing her divorce from Kris Humphries.

Rumors of divorce have surrounded the marriage of Humphries and Kardashian for weeks now, and yesterday, Kim released a statement.

“After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage,” said Kardashian. “I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best."

The Kardashian family has been very outspoken and supportive of Rob during his time on the show so far, and members of the close-knit group attend Performance Night each week.

After Kim’s statement Monday, Rob Kardashian and professional dancer Cheryl Burke earned the second best score of 25 out of 30 for their Tango on DWTS. The couple is a strong contender for the mirror ball trophy, and their score tied them with actor J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff who also reign at the top of the competition.

Kardashian and Humphries were married a mere 72 days before the announcement, and backstage, Rob divulged that his sister was feeling a little down.

“My sister is obviously going through a lot and we’re obviously very supportive of whatever decision she makes,” E! News reported. “We’re just here as her family just to be with her and be on her side for whatever.”

The Kardashians will rally their support again tonight the seventh elimination of DWTS. Season 13 has seen surprising results and it is up to viewers to vote for their favorite dancers.

DWTS airs on ABC Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. EST.
