'Dancing With the Stars' Season 22 Cast Rumors: NFL Coming To The Dance Floor?
Season 21 of "Dancing With the Stars" has wrapped up a few weeks ago, but the hype for season 22 is heating up as rumors suggest that the National Football League might grace the acclaimed dance floor.
Following the massive success of previous seasons, it's no longer surprising that a lot of celebrities and even athletes are looking toward showing off their dancing skills. One of the most recent sports stars that has allegedly expressed his interest in the show is New York Giants' Rashad Jennings.
The NFL running back told TMZ that he "loves" DWTS and is hoping that the producers will give him a chance to show off some of his hidden talent on stage with other stars.
Being a sports star won't keep Jennings from beating his dream, and if given the chance, he may even set the standard of dancing NFL guys. His addition to the show would surely be one reason for the sporty community to go with the flow of other fans who love to watch DWTS.
One of the stars who confirmed to be back on stage is Len Goodman. Goodman took his excitement to Twitter and announced that he will be back for the upcoming season. He also said he feels good that "people are welcoming me back," further igniting the competition as he seemed to warn his competitors with the statement: "Be careful what you wish for."
Meanwhile, rumors have emerged earlier, suggesting that DWTS veteran Derek Hough may not be coming back for season 22. In an interview with E! News, the six-time gold winner said he is undecided. When asked if he had plans to get back on stage for the upcoming season, he said, "I don't know, who knows. I have to say this isn't a bad way to go out."
It could be that Hough is finally happy with his accomplishments, following his latest win with Bindi Irwin. On the other hand, fans immediately went crazy after hearing his comments, with many commenting that his disappearance from the show will most likely result to lower ratings.
This could be true since Hough has largely become a fan favorite, especially since he has been on the show for 16 seasons.
Stay tuned for more scoops on which stars will be gracing the DWTS floor for season 22, which is set to premiere on March 21, 2016.
