'Dancing with the Stars' Season 25 News: 98 Degrees Singer Nick Lachey Prepares For His DWTS Performance With Peta Murgatroyd
Nick Lachey may render a 98 Degrees dance number on "Dancing With the Stars" season 25.
In a recent interview, the pop star hinted that he and Peta Murgatroyd may perform a special dance number on the upcoming reality dance show, and it will likely be to the tune of one of the most fan-favorite songs of his former band.
"You gotta pull out every weapon you have. The 98 Degrees weapon might rear its ugly head," Lachey told Us Weekly on Sept. 6 at Planet Hollywood in New York City. "I can't believe a 98 Degrees song hasn't been on the show already,"
Despite being a performer, the singer admitted that he felt like he needed to prepare a lot for the upcoming performance, especially since 98 Degrees did not do much dancing back in the '90s. However, he said it was a good thing that he was used to being in the spotlight because that helps him prepare for his "Dancing with the Stars" performance.
"I'm going to work my ass off. I got a great teacher and we're just gonna go for it and see where it takes us. Obviously, we all wanna win. Coming into any competition, I want to win," he said.
According to Lachey, he has a competitive spirit so he is set to put his best foot forward and give it everything he's got. The boy band singer said at the end of the day, he would not want to look back and regret that he did not do his best. However, he said he is open to whatever the results will be.
Aside from Lachey, the "Charmed" alum's wife Vanessa is also set to compete on the show, with Maksim Chmerkovskiy as her partner. Alabama natives Jordan Fisher and Terrell Owens are also joining the cast of the new season.
"Dancing with the Stars" season 25 will premiere on Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
