'Dancing With the Stars' Tour Bus Involved in Car Crash that Killed 21-Year-Old Woman
A tour bus for "Dancing With the Stars" recently got involved in a massive pileup that killed one driver.
The cast and crew of the "Dancing with the Stars" tour are now recovering after being caught up in a multi-car accident on I-35 in Ames, Iowa, on Monday. Reports note that a winter storm entangled traffic, which resulted to dozens of car crashes all over Iowa. Those crashes included one of the four buses that were used to transport cast and crew members for the "Dancing with the Stars: Live! Light Up The Night" tour.
According to Billboard, a total of 19 vehicles were invovled in the car crash. One driver was killed, a 21-year-old driver named Josephina Mae Buffington, while four others were treated for injuries. A crash report by the Iowa State Patrol indicated that Buffington was not wearing a seatbelt when the tragic incident happened. The "Dancing With the Stars" cast and crew only sustained minor injuries and all of them are now safe.

"Given this unforeseen accident, and the fact that the safety and health of our cast and crew is of the utmost importance, tonight's show at Stephens Auditorium in Ames, IA has been cancelled," a statement from tour organizers read.
Additionally, the organizers apologized to all fans who were waiting to watch the show that night. They also mentioned that further details about the ticket refund process will be announced soon.
"To anyone involved in the accident, the entire cast sends their best wishes for a speedy recovery, and their deepest apologies to all of the fans who have been waiting to see the show tonight," they added. "Information regarding rescheduling and/or refunds will be available soon."
Approximately 7 inches of snow reportedly fell in central Iowa on Monday. Before reopening in the evening, the entire southbound lane of I-35 was closed to the public because of the weather.
