Dancing With the Stars Voting Sees Carson Kressley Eliminated
“Dancing with the Stars” saw the fifth elimination Tuesday night with Carson Kressley bring the unfortunate contestant to be sent home.
Kressley and his partner Anna Trebunskaya earned this week's lowest scores for their jive to Wham!’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.”
They received 19 points, and along with David Arquette, were in the bottom two.
Kelly Clarkson and The Band Perry each performed on Tuesday's Results Show.
Season 13 of the show has seen surprising eliminations so far, including last week’s cut of Chynna Phillips who gave strong performances until her elimination.
Monday night’s performances were set to an 80’s theme, and leading the scoreboard for the first time ever was actor J.R. Martinez.
Receiving 28 points out of 30, Martinez and his partner Karina Smirnoff danced the Samba to music by Gloria Estefan.
David Arquette, Rob Kardashian, and Nancy Grace earned the best scores yet on last night’s “Dancing with the Stars.” Chaz Bono received positive feedback from the judges also, earning him a score of 21.
While many couples received their highest scores yet, Ricki Lake and partner Derek Hough received their worst results Monday. Lake had delivered strong performances in weeks leading up to last night, but received 25 points for the Foxtrot. Judges Carrie Ann and Bruno agreed that the performance was weak.
Fans took to Twitter to name their favorite dancing stars and send them praise for their performances for Monday night. Some even campaigned for their top picks by urging their followers to vote.
Twitter user Sammi wrote, “Thank you to anyone who voted for Hope Solo last night on DWTS I admire you and her!!! #1Love.”
“@RobKardashian did soooo good on dwts!.. you made me sweat!” wrote Carley.
Marie wrote, “@NancyGraceHLN Nancy, you look like a teenager! Go girl #DWTS.”
“I voted for #MakSolo and #DRickilous. Very tough competition last night. #DWTS,” wrote Heidi.
Beth wrote, “Used all my votes for #DWTS on @carsonKressley! I hope he stays in.”
Next week, the seven remaining couples will return to the dance floor continuing the competition for the mirror ball trophy. “DWTS” will feature a Broadway theme, and airs on ABC at 8 p.m. Monday.
