Dania Ramirez Engaged
Reports Tuesday have confirmed that "Heroes" star Dania Ramirez is engaged to her actor/director boyfriend.
The Dominican Republic-born television and film actress plans to marry Bev Land, who was previously married to "Dreamgirls" actress Sharon Leal. Ramirez told InStyle magazine that her fiancé proposed to her with a custom-made ring of rose gold and white diamonds.
"He wanted to go for a vintage, old love theme," said Ramirez of Land. Adding that he was "the one," the 32-year-old actress also confirmed the engagement with Latina.com.
"The love of my life found me! That's how he would say it anyway since he claims he was attracted my energy before I even turned around," said Ramirez.
Best known her roles in "Heroes" and HBO's "Entourage," Ramirez will star in the upcoming comedy "American Reunion," which hits theaters in April.
Over the last couple of weeks the media has been flooded with news of celebrity engagements. This month has seen stars such as Drew Barrymore, Steven Tyler, Mario Lopez, and LeBron James announce their plans to marry.
This month has also seen mixed reports of engagements, like that of Halle Berry. The 45-year-old actress has not yet confirmed the reports that she plans to marry French director Olivier Martinez.
In another rumor of engagement, Justin Timberlake allegedly asked longtime girlfriend Jessica Biel to marry him. Timberlake's grandmother, Sadie Bomar, confirmed the engagement to Radar magazine.
"Yes, Justin is engaged," said Bomar. "Jessica is a very sweet girl, she's upright and everything and we love her."
Timberlake nor Biel have commented on the status of their relationship.
More congratulations are in order for reality television star Kristin Cavallari who announced earlier this month that her engagement was back on. She and the quarterback for the Chicago Bears Jay Cutler announced Monday that they are expecting a child together.
"It's an amazing time in our life and we can't wait to meet the new addition to our growing family," said the couple speaking to People magazine.
