Danielle Fishel Marries, Slams Criticism of Husband's Age
Danielle Fishel married longtime boyfriend Tim Belusko during a lavish ceremony in Los Angeles over the weekend.
However, on Tuesday, the "Boy Meets World" star lashed out against internet bullies who criticized the age difference between the bridge and groom.
Fishel, 32, is now married to her longtime boyfriend who is just 25-years-old.
"People are giving me major s--- for marrying someone younger than I am," the actress posted to Twitter. "Tim is mature, responsible, loving & kind. Way to judge people, internet."
"You know what makes dealing with rude comments easy? Love & happiness," she later added. "I'll just keep being the happiest me & you keep being the rudest you."
The seven-year age difference is not the only issues Fishel has had to defend herself against. The actress also responded internet bullies who criticized the actress' weight once photos of the star in her wedding dress were revealed.
"Ppl saying I was FAT @ my wedding: u r the worst kind of ppl on the PLANET," Fishel posted on Tuesday. "I weigh 107 pounds & am 5'1". YOU are the reason anorexia exists."
The actress also noted, "I hope you'll look at your own miserable lives and learn to stop judging others on their weight and looks. Love and happiness wins again."
Furthermore, Fishel quipped about her plans to return from her honeymoon "weighing 299 pounds."
Meanwhile, Fishel is not the only celebrity to have tied the knot over the weekend. "American Idol" alum Kelly Clarkson married Brandon Blackstock on Sunday, Oct. 20.
"I'm officially Mrs. Blackstock," the singer tweeted before adding three photos taken from the nuptials. "We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place in the world!"
Similar to Fishel, Clarkson has also battled critics against her weight in the past. However, the "Stronger" singer recently lost 18 pounds, and healthfully.
"You'd be amazed the amount of weight you can drop by halving your portions," Clarkson explained to Cosmopolitan magazine. "I know it sounds crazy, but do it for two weeks and watch what happens."
