Danity Kane Reunion Announced at VMA's 'Rage' First Single
Former "Making the Band" pop group, Danity Kane, announced their reunion at last night's MTV Video Music Awards.
The group was put together by hip-hop mogul Sean P. Diddy Combs in 2005's reality show.
"We're baaaack!" the ladies of DK shouted on the Red Carpet.
Four of the five members will be returning to the reunited group: Aubrey O'Day, Aundrea Fimbres, Dawn Richard and Shannon with D. Woods not returning.
Their new single will be called "Rage," and they will have no help from P.Diddy as they said, they are "on their own this time."
O'Day posted a photo of the group on her Instagram account originally showing off no D. Woods.
"Much love to the ladies of DK!! They have decided to reunite and I, like our amazing fans, will be cheering them on," Woods told Us Weekly.
"In honor of @danitykane's #VMA announcement that they're reuniting, relive 5 most memorable #MakingtheBand moments: http://on.mtv.com/16JIjrw," MTV Shows Tweeted.
The group originally disbanded in 2009 because of tensions between Wood and O'Day.
"You'll see me and Drea [Aundrea Fimbres] try and pick up the pieces on our own [on this season's show] - pieces that we didn't even make," DRichards said at the time according to MTV. "We didn't even break it and we're trying to sweep it up ourselves. Puff invited all the girls to come back on this season and they chose not to. Only two of us showed up. That's fine if that's the choice."
