David Blaine Stunt Lands Him in Hospital After Million-Voltage Act (VIDEO)
Illusionist David Blaine spent Monday night in the hospital after his electrifying stunt in New York City.
Blaine spent three days and three nights being zapped with 1 million volts of electricity as a donned a chain-mail outfit. The "Electrified" stunt was performed at a 20-foot platform at Pier 54 in New York.
The 39-year-old was taken to a hospital afterward where he underwent a check-up and spent the night to recover.

"He's spending the night in the hospital for recuperation and monitoring," Paul Hoffman, who is serving as Blaine's science adviser, told NBC News. "His spirits are good, but his feet are killing him and his legs appeared swollen. By the end of the 72 hours, the ear plugs that seemed to fit so well at the start were hurting him, too."
Blaine's producer Stephen Chao said that experts were not as concerned about the electricity coursing through Blaine's body as they were about his blood circulation after standing still for three straight days.
David Blaine's stunt was streamed live on YoutTube and sponsored by Intel Corp.
The voltage was generated by the public, who controlled the direction and intensity of the light and sound emitted by the Tesla coils through Ultrabook devices in stations in New York, London, Beijing, Sydney, and Tokyo.
Blaine is known for his daredevil stunts which have included hanging upside down over Central Park and being encased in a block of ice.
