It seems that although the year could be ending, the string of deaths on the "Days of Our Lives" won't be coming to a stop as spoilers indicate that a new person may be biting the dust soon enough. Following the death of Serena (Melissa Archer), Paige (True O'Brien), Will (Guy Wilson), and Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove), it seems that the next person facing exit will be none other than Joseph Mascolo who plays Stefano DiMera.
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the decision to end Mascolo's story line in the show was not made willingly and easily as Mascolo's performance is truly outstanding. However, an insider for the source claims that Mascolo's health has been slowly deteriorating and it was best for the actor to take rest as perhaps the filming has been taking its toll on the 86-year-old actor.
Despite Mascolo's departure, it seems the show has already planned well how they will be dealing with the blank story line that he will be leaving behind. Andre (Thaao Penghlis), who was made to be Stefano's son, might be carrying the future of the DiMera family. Andre may not have the same ruthlessness as Stefano yet, but overtime, he can definitely develop it and be the person Stefano has been. However, Andre's takeover may not exactly go smooth sailing as recent rumors indicate that Stefano may be returning as a ghost on the show.

Finally, Bo's return will also be a potential problem for the DiMeras. As his brain tumor gets worse, Bo will ultimately die at the end. It is expected that before he does meet the end, everything will be revealed to Hope about the DiMeras being behind his kidnapping. Once Hope learns the truth, it is expected that things will turn bad for the family as Hope will more likely seek revenge for what happened.
