'Days of Our Lives': Search for Chad, Abigail and Gabi Continues; Can Gabi's Life Still Be Saved?

The weeks ahead are really shaping up to be eventful ones for the long-running daytime soap opera, "Days of Our Lives." With Chad (Casey Deidrick), Abigail (Kate Mansi) and Gabi (Camila Banus) still missing and Adrienne (Judi Evans) still struggling with cancer and a difficult romantic choice, there is so much that fans can look forward to in the coming days.

The villainous Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) recently ordered his men to abduct Abigail and Gabi to use them to force Chad to make a crucial decision that could potentially mean the death of either Abigail or Gabi. In a conversation he had with his nephew, Sonny (Freddie Smith), Deimos claimed that Chad stole from them and was, therefore, their enemy. But Sonny insisted that Chad was his best friend before storming out to try and protect him.

But it was already too late since Chad had already found his way to the warehouse where Abigail and Gabi were being held with IVs stuck to their arms. Deimos told Chad via a speaker that there was a fast-acting drug in the IV bags and he would only be given one antidote to save either Abigail or Gabi.

It was a difficult choice, but Chad eventually gave the antidote to his wife, Abigail. And although it was a choice that needed no justifications, it could lead to some serious consequences in the long run, especially when Chad will have to tell Dario (Jordi Vilasuso) about what he had to do.

But was there really a deadly poison in the IV bags? Some fans are skeptical, saying that Deimos may have just wanted to humiliate Chad and did not really intend to kill Abigail or Gabi. But if there really was poison in the bags, can Gabi still survive it? Does Chad even intend to save her at all?

The synopsis for the next episode does not reveal much about this storyline but instead teases a development in Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla's (Mary Beth Evans) search for the former's son with Ava (Tamara Braun). The two of them will be heading out to a diner in Arizona to meet Steve's alleged son, Tripp (Lucas Adams).

On the other hand, this Friday's episode will have Adrienne's loved ones gathering around to support her as she prepares for her double mastectomy and subsequent reconstruction surgery.

"Days of Our Live" airs weekdays at 1 p.m. EDT on NBC.
