'Dead Rising 4' Gameplay Update News: Upcoming PlayStation 4 Version Adds Fan Requested Features

"Dead Rising 4" is coming to the PlayStation 4, and with it comes a few ideas that Capcom Vancouver has implemented, following inputs from fans of the series. The version for Sony's console comes out in time for the holidays, and with it comes a ton of content in one "Dead Rising" package.

Capcom has announced Frank West's return to the PlayStation with the "Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package" via a PlayStation blog update, and it's a deluge of content due to come to the console on Dec. 5.

Fan-requested features are making it in for the upcoming PlayStation 4 version, as their update on the Capcom Unity blog confirmed. Players who found the game too easy will now have two harder difficulty levels to play with.

Capcom Vancouver is also doing a minor revamp of the Maniacs, human enemies in the game. The developers have put in work to make "these encounters feel more meaningful and rewarding," which each Maniac now customized with their own unique weapons.

New rescue missions in the form of Distress Calls have been added as well, with six new scripted scenarios added. These escort missions will have Frank trying to protect a survivor from the zombies as they run towards a safer spot.

"Frank's Big Package" comes with the base "Dead Rising 4" game, complete with all their post-launch patches as well as new updates. It also comes with the Capcom Heroes pack, which lets players force Frank West to cosplay as one of over a dozen classic Capcom characters, with their signature attacks included.

It's definitely a big package, as the bundle includes all DLCs of the game. Customization options from the Stocking Stuffer Holiday Pack, gameplay updates from Frank Rising and multiplayer modes for Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf come included, too.

Capcom perhaps decided to might as well throw everything else in, as they add the "Street Fighter" Outfit Pack, My Bloody Valentine Pack, Candy Cane Crossbow, Slicecycle, Sir-Ice-A-Lot, Ugly Winter Sweater, X-Fists, and more collectibles into the mix, as well.

The video below shows the fan-requested features Capcom is adding to "Dead Rising 4," which will also make their way to the game's Xbox One and PC versions. "Frank's Big Package" for the PlayStation 4 come out on Dec. 5 and is priced at $50.
