'Deadpool 2' Movie News: Ryan Reynolds to Do the Sequel with a Bigger Paycheck

Ryan Reynolds and 20th Century Fox have formally sealed the deal for the "Deadpool" sequel after negotiations to increase the talent fee of the actor for the sequel of the blockbuster movie ended in a positive note.

As of this writing "Deadpool" has already raked in $754,530,050. With this figure, "Deadpool" now officially holds the record of being the highest ranking rated R movie of all times, despite the measly production budget of $58 million only.

In a previous report of The Hollywood Reporter, it was revealed that Reynolds was paid only $2 million for the "Deadpool" movie. However, with the movie's impressive success, his WME agents asked for an increase in his talent fee for the sequel albeit the fact that he was already signed for a sequel prior to the surprising performance of "Deadpool" at the tills.

While details of the negotiations are kept under wraps, it is now certain that Reynolds is returning as "Deapool," happier with bigger paycheck. According to reports, filming for the "Deadpool" sequel will kick off this fall, and the movie itself will be released within the first quarter of 2018.

While the sequel is yet to be filmed, those anticipating "Deadpool 2" have already been handed one important information as to what to expect once the movie is out. In the post-credit scene of the blockbuster movie, Deadpool popped into the screen and said:

"Oh! I can tell you one thing, and it's a bit of a secret. The sequel? We're gonna have Cable. Amazing character. Bionic arm, time travel! We have no idea who we're going to cast yet, but it could be anyone. Just need a big guy with a flat top. Mel Gibson, Dolph Lundgren, Kiera Knightly? She's got range – who knows? Big secret, shhh. Oh, and don't leave your garbage all lying around. It's a total dick move. Go! Chica-chica!"

Now that Reynolds and 20th Century Fox reached an agreement, there is no stopping Deadpool himself from taking on Cable in the sequel.
