'Deadpool 2': New Photo of Josh Brolin Impresses Rob Liefeld

A new photo of Josh Brolin recently caught the attention of "Deadpool" creator Rob Liefeld. The picture was shared by Liefeld himself on Instagram, and it showed the incredible transformation of the actor's physique since assuming the role.

Since the beginning of this year, Brolin has been actively sharing on social media photos of Cable on the set of "Deadpool 2." After giving fans a first look at his character in the upcoming Marvel film, the actor has continued getting beefed-up and undergoing intense training for the role.

The new photo was originally shot by Kathryn Brolin and featured the actor posed beside an electric pole, his muscles flexed. What was witty about the picture was the fact that the pole had a sign that read "Cable," so it seemed just right for Brolin to take a snap with it.

"This is an incredible pic that I had to display. Might have to incorporate this into a future cover," Liefeld captioned the photo on his Instagram account. It also bore the hashtag #Cableswole, which Brolin uses whenever he posts photos of him as Cable on social media.

The photo featured how months of intense training have transformed Brolin into the character that he is set to play. The actor has been very committed to getting in shape to give justice to his role as the cyborg mutant. He also uses his strapping physique to promote his athletic clothing line, Prevail ActiveWear.

Given Brolin's recent transformation, some fans find his new form at par with that of Hugh Jackman's in "X-men Origins: Wolverine," "The Wolverine" and "Logan." While some may argue, it was clear that the actor had to put in a lot of physical work to be able to achieve the Cable-like physique that he has today.

"Deadpool 2" is set to arrive on June 1, 2018.
