'Deadpool' Cast News: Tricotruex Will Join as the X-Men Member Colossus

An X-Men member is expected to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the upcoming film "Deadpool."

It was reported that a new character will be taking on a role for the highly anticipated Marvel movie "Deadpool." According to Tech Times, actor Andre Tricotruex shared some details about his role in the film. He will be taking on the role of an X-Men member, Colossus.

The actor also explained that the director of the film, Tim Miller, has a very distinct idea for the upcoming film, which will have Tricotruex's character resembling its original character in the comic book.

While he was not able to reveal too much about his character, he did say, "I think you're going to see more of who Colossus is. I think people will get a better sense of who he is. Colossus had been around in the comics since the '70s, so I mean, I think you could do your own movie on him."

Reports confirmed that Tricotruex will be the second actor to portray the role of Colossus. The first portrayal of the character was seen in several X-Men films such as "Days of Future Past," where the character was played by Daniel Cudmore.

With that, Tricotreux will be joined by the rest of the cast, which includes Ryan Reynolds who will be playing Deadpool, T.J. Miller who will be playing Weasel, Gina Carano who will be playing Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand who will be playing Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin who will be playing Copycat, and Ed Skrein who will be playing Ajax. They will be under the direction of Tim Miller, with the script written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick of "Zombieland."

"Deadpool" is expected to release in theaters by Feb. 12, 2016.
