'Deadpool' Spoilers: Crosses Paths with 'X-Men' Films; Wolverine Appearance

The upcoming "Deadpool" movie is expected to take place in the same universe as previous "X-Men" movies.

According to the producer of the film, Simon Kindberg, the film's story arc will be set in the shared universe of previously released "X-Men" films. However, the film will not be in the same time line as the most recently aired "X-Men" movie "Days of Future Past."

Kindberg explained to Collider that "Deadpool" will be set in the present but will acknowledge the past happenings of the previous movies. This also opens the chance of different "X-Men" characters joining the story.

There are speculations that Hugh Jackman will be making a cameo in the upcoming film. He recently posted a tweet revealing that he was with Ryan Reynolds on the set of the film. He posted a video of Ryan Reynolds dressed up as his character in the film, Wade Wilson. Reynolds was mocking Hugh Jackman as he spoke in an Australian accent.

Another news that supports this speculation is the fact that Kindberg mentioned that they will be doing some post-production filming. With that, fans are guessing that this could be due to Wolverine's appearance in the film. The comic books have also featured several light moments between the Wolverine and Deadpool.

The director also spoke about how he plans to remain faithful to the mood of the comics. He explained that the film will definitely have the signature tone of "Deadpool," which means that it will feature radical ideas and a high degree of violence.

It was recently reported that another character from the "X-Men" universe will be introduced in the upcoming film. Actress Brianna Hildebrand will be talking on the role of Negasonic Teenage Warhead. She will be posing as the sidekick of Colossus, played by Andre Tricoteux.

"Deadpool" will release in theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
