Dean McDermott Home From Rehab, Divorce Rumors Continue
Dean McDermott finished a stint in rehab and is back home with his wife Tori Spelling and their children, according to reports this week.
The 47-year-old reality television star entered a rehab facility last month amidst explosive reports that suggested he had cheated on Spelling, his wife of seven years, during a trip to Canada in December. Although the couple remain tight-lipped about the status of their marriage, McDermott was spotted back home in Los Angeles where he lives with Spelling and their four children, according to Us Weekly.
However, McDermott may not be moving back in completely just yet. He was photographed carrying several items from the house to his car, including car seats and clothing items, while his daughter Stella, 5, wore a backpack.
As for Spelling, a source close to the "90210" star she was "devastated" and "much more heartbroken than anyone realized" about the cheating allegations and rehab stint surrounding her husband.
Notwithstanding, another report indicated that McDermott would "fight hard" for his marriage.
"They'll think very hard before making any decision about their future as a couple," an insider told People.com. "[Spelling is] very dependent on Dean and the whole life they've created together. She's not someone who gives up easily. She's an incredibly loyal person."
The initial cheating report appeared in Us Weekly and included details about McDermott's infidelity straight from the other woman- 28-year-old Emily Goodhand.
According to Goodhand, she met McDermott in December in Toronto through mutual friends at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel. It was then that McDermott told Goodhand that he and his wife had a "sexless marriage," and spent two nights at the hotel together.
Within weeks of the cheating scandal, McDermott released a public apology and confirmed his rehab plans.
"I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family," he said, according to People. "I take full responsibility for my actions and have voluntarily checked myself into a treatment center to address some health and personal issues. I am grateful to be getting the help I need so I can become the husband and father my family deserves."
