Debra Messing Allure Photo Fake? 'Celebrities Should Be Ashamed'
Allure has released controversial new photos revealing celebrities in the buff for their latest beauty edition. Some charge that the images have been altered using Photoshop and that the celebrities should be "ashamed."
Maria Menounos, Debra Messing, Leslie Bibb, Taraji P. Henson, and Morena Baccarin all stripped for photographer Patrick Demarchelier in a photo shoot for Allure magazine's next issue. The magazine cover mentions how celebrities get their confidence. Allure appeared to promote that confident women are those who are willing to bare it all; some celebrities even saying that they felt better about themselves for doing it.
"This was definitely challenging," 33 year-old Extra host Maria Menounos said after commenting on how she was shy about revealing her body. "But I feel so much better having done it."

Debra Messing, who currently stars in the new television musical "Smash" has explained that it had a lot to do with acceptance.
"Once you have a child, once you pass 40, you have a different relationship with your body," the "Smash" star said about her Allure shoot, in the magazine. "I love my body in a way I never have before."
However, some questioned the link between self-acceptance and posing nude. Should women have to pose nude at all just to feel better about themselves? One woman suggested that the Photoshopped images only made her feel worse.
"There were several comments on morning shows about how "brave" these women were. Size 2 or less, with professional hair, makeup and photographer -- not to mention Photoshop. How brave does that make a person?" AnnieOK1 questioned on the Allure blog.
"Stand in my bathroom light, with all flaws on display and then we'll talk brave. These kind of staged photos just make real women feel worse about what are supposedly "normal" bodies and faces."
"Seriously!!!!! The magazine and the "celebrities" should be ashamed! No glory in photo shopped pics," LolaSophia added.
