Deion Sanders Lawsuit: Wife Suing for $200 Million
Deion Sanders' wife is reportedly suing him for $200 million, according to various reports.
The Dallas Morning News has said that Pilar Sanders has commenced two lawsuits to claim damages for an alleged assault, as well as damages for "libelous and slanderous comments posted online."
However, lawyers for Pilar have said that her latest lawsuit is completely unrelated to her ongoing divorce from Deion.
The court filings by Pilar claim that Deion and others, including Sanders' daughter, should compensate her for emotional and physical abuse, as well as public humiliation and mental distress.
Pilar specifically lists tweets by Deion and his daughter in the lawsuit, according to the Dallas Morning News. The tweets in question include his daughter reportedly saying that Pilar was "the number one gold digger of the year."
One of the lawsuits describes an alleged February assault in the former couple's Prosper, Texas home. In February, Deion confirmed on Twitter an altercation between his female acquaintance and Pilar.
Deion Sanders, also nicknamed "Prime Time" and "Neon Deion", is a former National Football League cornerback and Major League Baseball outfielder, who has gone on to become an NFL Network analyst. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 6, 2011.
