Deitrick Haddon Speaks Out Against Being 'Demonized' By Christians for Beliefs
Deitrick Haddon, the minister and gospel singer who will be back for a second season of "Preachers of L.A.," is speaking out about being demonized for his interpretation of The Holy Bible.
Haddon, 41, most recently came under fire during the "Preachers of L.A." reunion show where he explained why living with a significant other before marriage was not going against God's word. While his co-star Bishop Ron Gibson, senior pastor from the Riverside Calif., Life Church Of God In Christ, vehemently disagreed with Haddon on the reunion show, the latter defended his beliefs.
"You have to go according to your faith and what you believe," Haddon told Sister 2 Sister magazine recently. "If you don't like what I'm saying, you can go to the church up the street if you don't like what I'm saying, but don't demonize me because I'm not saying what you're saying. Don't call what I'm saying heresy. We're actually saying the same thing. It's crazy."

Despite engaging in some heated exchanges with his fellow co-stars and preachers on the Oxygen Network show, Haddon told the publication that he usually gets over heated debates quickly.
"Once I speak my piece, there's no reason to be upset. I love all those guys: McClendon on down," Haddon insisted to S2S Magazine. "I don't agree with them on certain issues and it's very clear that I don't agree with certain issues. People have to learn how to disagree."
He added, "You can state your position without disrespect."
The minister previously said he can handle people's comments because of his position.
"I have tough skin. When you're doing what we do, people are going to always talk," Haddon told Hip Hollywood earlier this year. "It is what it is."
