Delaware DOJ Files Complaint Against Former Planned Parenthood Abortion Doctor
The Delaware Attorney General's Office has filed a complaint against a former Planned Parenthood abortion doctor who allegedly engaged in multiple acts of incompetence while performing abortions on five patients.
Attorney General Beau Biden's office filed the two count complaint against Dr. Timothy F. Liveright on Thursday before the Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline.
According to page two of the complaint, Liveright performed "multiple acts of incompetence and negligence," which included "over sedating patient," "failing to properly administer oxygen," and "failing to consider alternative treatments."

Signed by Delaware's Deputy Attorney General Katisha D. Fortune of Wilmington, the complaint requests that the Board permanently "revoke [Liveright's] license to practice medicine or take such other action as deemed appropriate by the Board."
Jason Miller, public information officer for the Delaware Department of Justice, told The Christian Post that the "Complaint is now pending before the Board."
"The Board is the professional regulatory body that oversees Doctors in our state and the Complaint is a civil legal filing that seeks the revocation of his medical license," said Miller.
Formerly an abortion doctor at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Wilmington, according to local media, Liveright was reprimanded by the Delaware chapter of the national pro-choice organization over allegations of verbal and sexual harassment against clinic employees.
Planned Parenthood's reprimand of Liveright was the basis for Count I in the complaint. The five patients that are at the center of Count II of the complaint had their abortions performed earlier this year.
Moira Sheridan, secretary for the pro-life organization Delaware Right to Life, had been following the developments surrounding Liveright for some time.
Sheridan told CP that the effort on the Delaware government was "too little, too late" and that allegations made in 2012 were ignored as the state "allowed Planned Parenthood to police itself."
"They've hired someone new; they should investigate that clinic now and everyone involved with it," said Sheridan.
"It should be noted that pro-lifers have asked for years for police, law enforcement, dept. of health, etc. to investigate this clinic."
When asked by CP if she felt more investigations of abortion doctors in Delaware would follow, Sheridan responded that it may happen but only "if the women (patients) harmed, abused, or otherwise mistreated and subjected to substandard care come forward as that is how the law is written."
"There are two PP clinics – Dover and Wilmington – and both use the same 'doctors.' It is unlikely the AG's office will seek out more controversy and risk PP funding by going after them. It is more likely
they will sweep this under the rug," said Sheridan.
Planned Parenthood did not return comment to The Christian Post by press time.
